First Alert Forecast: Light winds with mostly dry conditions expected through Thursday, stronger winds with more showers due over the weekend

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Light winds and mostly dry weather will prevail for the next couple of days. The resultant land and sea breeze weather regime means clear and cool mornings with abundant sunshine through mid-day. Afternoon clouds over leeward areas will bring a chance of a shower. Increasing trade winds over the weekend may bring an increase in showers, especially over windward areas.
A north-northeast swell is due on Wednesday with reinforcements coming on Friday, advisory level wave heights for east shores are possible on Thursday. Surf along south facing shores will remain small.
